- Traditional photovoltaic design often begins with a standard module and requires the architecture to adapt around it.
- Because the photovoltaic cells can be concealed behind the architectural surface, panels can incorporate active and inactive areas that remain visually indistinguishable in the finished façade.
- This makes it possible to design around the building grid, windows, corners, openings, façade transitions and architectural proportions rather than allowing a standard solar module to dictate the façade.
- Panel sizes can therefore be optimized for both architectural composition and photovoltaic performance.
